Why, Why, Why, Why, Why!!! The start of something nerdy

So I guess I finally gonna start a blog like every other man jack in the world who thinks people are interested in something they have to say. But I don't say much so this will be more of a "What great new music is out there" and "What is going on at Random Design Studios today" kinda blog.

Well lets start with the later. What is "Random Design Studios" you may ask. Well here it is check it out

Random Design Studios

Basically we've been in operation since 2005 and have done audio work for some of the biggest and best Corporate and Artistic clients in Trinidad. Last year was one of the biggest years for the studio with productions coming from Orange Sky (who still have not updated their page), Michelle Xavier, Blue Emperor and Krash. And Corporate clients like Stag, Carib, Bermudez and KFC (These are thanks to the loyalty and friendship of one Indra Ramcharan)

So I'll be trying to keep up to date on whats going on. Skid"Nevely are currently in studio as well as Serenade the Silence so maybe I'll put up some vids of those guys and we are currently doing a buncha work for Michelle Xavier and may start a mini EP with Micheline Ferreira of Witch of the Bell Tower really soon.

As for music lets get a small list for today. We'll start with my homework for Music Production Class

Fabolous - Throw it in the bag - Not a very good song but its now stuck in my head as I've had to listen to it about 1000 times to get my homework done. Curse you Mice!!

Devin Townsend - Addicted Teaser - All the songs on this album are amazing, the female vocals are insane and the production is top notch. On constant rotation on my iTunes and mp3 player. Fun fact - Devin Townsend is not only an artist but a well know producer. Working with bands like Misery Signals, Lamb of God, Soilwork and Darkest hour. Also he is the only vocalist to perform on an album of Steve Vai's since he went solo.

Tesseract - Concealing Fate Part II - Deception - One of the best bands in the world right now in my opinion. Really wonderful layers and magnificent vocals and extremely tight playing. The production again is top notch; sounding organic yet mechanical. Can't wait till April for this album to drop.

Thievery Corporation - The Richest Man in Babylon - Yeah its old but man this is a great song. I love me some Thievery Corporation and this is one of their best! Two of the best producers/beat makers/remixers make up this band. Downbeat and smooth. What else you want?

Alice in Chains - Check my Brain - New album by one of the best bands out of the 90's done by one of my fav producers - Nick Raskulinecz whos done Foo Fighters, Stone Sour, Velvet Revolver and is doing the new Deftones album. Definitely a sonically intense album.

So yeah check those out and maybe I'll post some more next week with some cool insights onto whats going on at RDS. In the meanwhile check out the EPK for a band I'm playing with called Checklist
